ARTIST HIGHLIGHT: the wow by zazawowow
Whether created to portray ancestors, animals, or mythical heroes, masks were always worn to please the spirits. Like back in the days, ofc, in the tribal times. Worn during celebrations to connect and communicate with the spirit world, different tribes, or cultures, had their own unique styles, based on things like the type of materials available, art skills or specific beliefs. They had one thing in common though, the celebration of life and death.
Coming to you directly from non-Euclidean geometric hyperspace, the mysterious Zazawowow is someone we’ve been closely following for some time now. Like a mask recorder, archivist, or creator! We can barely take our eyes off the screen when admiring the incredible artwork done by the artist. The choice of colors, the shading, the form and that final „shiny-glitchy” layer gives us goosebumps, for real. This time, there are no limits, like the resources, materials or skills, it’s all in. The incredible artworks could easily be stand alone fashion garments concepts, movie stills, or intergalactic mugshots. Zazawowow is a must-follow!
