PROMPT SELECTION: THE LITTLE PRINCE

“What matters most are the simple pleasures so abundant that we can all enjoy them…Happiness doesn’t lie in the objects we gather around us. To find it, all we need to do is open our eyes.”

― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

How many of you have read The Little Prince? Is there anybody out there who have not enjoyed it? Its enduring appeal lies in its ability to touch hearts and minds, inspiring readers to revisit its pages time and again. The portrayal of loss, longing, and the quest for meaning elicits strong emotional responses from readers. As a result many people find themselves deeply moved by the prince’s journey and the wisdom he shares. But what also makes the book so great is the remarkable imagery. The illustrations, drawn by the author himself, complement the text beautifully and incredibly enhance the overall reading experience, often providing visual cues that deepen the understanding of the text. It comes to our great surprise also, as pointed out by Óscar Bartolomé, that nobody has attempted to represent the unique style of the Little Prince in prompting it in Midjourney, DALL·E, Niji, or any other software. Or maybe the AI was not ready to represent the style, just yet? Now it is!

“Now that I think about it, it’s strange that until now it hadn’t crossed my mind to represent it, and I don’t remember having seen it from anyone. Niji has a huge potential for illustrations. That’s what I’m working on now.”

So, here comes one of the most active prompts poets, Óscar Bartolomé and his two various Little Prince prompt interpretations.
